In order to better make layouts for the Edgar Allan poe posters, it’s important to make sketch layouts of things that could be used as digital assets, layouts, or lettering ideas to put within the posters themselves. It also helps for learning to draw Poe from imagination in the poster itself, as the several life drawings helped develop a visual library of what his hair, facial features, clothing, etc.

In this project, Hugo Hodge’s professor chose him and two other students for the theatre director’s posters’ commission to advertise the Edgar Allan Poe Play she was making.
